Cars Go Green - Hybrid Cars Questions

The Prius was rushed to market to fill a demand by environmentalist groups who wanted to drive "greener" cars.
The government fast tracked the Prius and provided tax incentives to get more hybrids on the road.
But in their zeal to "go green", the government overlooked potential known issues with this car, and combined with corporate greed, a death car was unleashed on the public.
Is the Prius a victim of the green movement?
Shouldn't the car have gone through greater testing before it received government approval to meet current safety standards?
Were safety standards compromised in order to push the "green" agenda?
Could wind farms, solar panels, and other "green" solutions also be causing greater environmental and personal harm as politicians and government rush to get products that aren't fully tested into the marketplace?

I bought a set of ceramics for the non-SI at Kragen. They fit in the caliper bracker, but were just a hair too big for the caliper (fully compressed) to fit back on.
Took them back and they said they accidentally gave me the SI pads, swapped them out. Tried to put the "real" NON SI pads on, they wouldn't even fit in the capiper bracker.
Only other spec for 2004 Civig was the Hybrid pads, they didn't have them. Just picked them up from Pep Boys, and they're too big too to fit into the slides on the caliper bracket.
Anyone know what the heck is up with the front pads on this car?
Thanks guys, I knew the dealer would be a last resort, but it turns out Autozone had the right ceramic pads, I'm all set. Had all new pads in only 25 minutes work, have to admit that was easy once I had the right stuff.

I'm just a teen I just want a 4 door car with 5 seats and plenty of room in the trunk.
Not too big just kind of medium. A car that is good at a hang out place with friends.
Something that is modern or around the year of 2008-2010.
Hybrid car is okay but I would like it to go 30-40mph and good with gas storage.

5)Regulate exercise habits so people don't exhale too much
6)Implant a chip in every person and household that regulates carbon offsets
7)Turn the state of Texas into a rainforest full of arboreal flora.
8)Anoint Al Gore as Emperor of the Globe and Chief Executive of Carbon
9)Ban backyard BBQ's and force everyone to cook with a George Foreman Grill
10)Install walkways like the one's in the airports all across the country so that people don't need to drive or exert themselves (exhaling CO2) in order to get where they need to go.

GE Corp- that owns the NBC Networks / CEO of GE is Obamas Energy guy, is to build all the computers that doctors will be forced to buy with that bill. Also our taxes are paying for GE to build the Smart Grid- that will give govt control over how much Energy were allowed to USE. ALSO! GE builds parts for the HYBRID CARs.
GE was about to go BANKRUPT from their business failures - until OBAMA WON! Now Obama is giving them everything they want including Tax Payers money! THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE THE GREED!

My boyfriend drives a 2007 Altima. It is *NOT* a hybrid, but aside from that has the works (built in nav, keyless, etc, whatever). I have read online that the 2007 Altima Hybrids do NOT have fold-down rear seats. While he has had this car since 2006?, we haven't had much of a need to transport anything large inside of his little car. Until now, of course.
I have read online and had a friend who has the same model car say that the 2007 Altima DOES have fold-down seats which open into the trunk area, and allow for the carrying of, y'know, furniture and stuff. The Hybid models have a battery between the trunk-space and the seats, so they do not have the fold-down seats feature.
Anyway, we can't figure out how it works and thought maybe since it is a pretty popular model car somebody out there might know. Perhaps a helpful link to a manual with illustrations?

I only have an Arlec battery charger (smallest, 2500 compact) and a PowerCrank NS50P (600 cold cranking amp super heavy duty car battery), will this charger actually re-charge the battery? the charger mentions lead acid batteries, the NS50P is "Calcium hybrid technology" is there any real difference?
Thanks mate, all I needed was someone with the knowledge, I've asked around but people didn't seem to know if "calcium hybrid technology" differed from standard batteries, from research I can safely agree with you %100, though the charger I own may be undercharging as it's the cheapest I could get.

So heres the story:
About 1 year ago today , i got into a car crash.
I was stopped at a red light and i was looking down at my IPod and changing songs, I saw the green light out of the corner of my eye and I eased off the break. As I did i didn't notice the car in front of me not moving and I hit them going 1 mile a hour.
We pulled off into a parking lot by 7/1l, and the daughter and mother in the crash went to go get coffees in 7/11 and the father and me both exchanged information, I also called my Mother and she was there in a matter of 10 minutes, I was 17 at the time.
The insurance company have been trying to stop the family from sueing me , but apparently it has come to the point where the family wants to sue me personally for internal injuries. So far apparently medical bills for the family is 10 grand per each family member in the crash so 30 grand total. They told my insurance company that they had back injuries and bad neck injuries.
Now i'm kinda freaking out but I have a high chance I'm going to win the damage isn't close enough to cause injuries that high in medical bills, from the damage we spent 80 dollars to fix our plastic bumper on the Toyota Hybrid and 800$ to knock out the dent in their bumper.
The other family has a lawyer that keep bring up stuff to make me look like the bad guy like hes a really good lawyer, so idk what to do.
Any answers? help? suggestions?
