Question #2:
I only have an Arlec battery charger (smallest, 2500 compact) and a PowerCrank NS50P (600 cold cranking amp super heavy duty car battery), will this charger actually re-charge the battery? the charger mentions lead acid batteries, the NS50P is "Calcium hybrid technology" is there any real difference?
Thanks mate, all I needed was someone with the knowledge, I've asked around but people didn't seem to know if "calcium hybrid technology" differed from standard batteries, from research I can safely agree with you %100, though the charger I own may be undercharging as it's the cheapest I could get.
Question #3:
...it?
I'm thinking of getting a car, after not driving for 20 yrs or so, and wonder if the 'latest' is reasonable to consider, such as hybrids. Is it too soon?
Question #4:
I am sure many people deal with the issue of constantly having to cary around a laptop power cable because you lose your charge. For example you have your charger upstairs but carry your laptop downstairs then you get the message that your power is low and have to go get your cable. my solution is to make a laptop that can recharge itself somewhat. The concept is kind of like a hybrid car.
The laptop would be recharged by key taps or mouse scrolls. i will focus on key taps here. everytime you press a key down it converts that energy into power for the laptops battery. I do not yet know what devices could preform such a task or if the energy drawn would even be enough to charge it at all. i am assuming that from 2 hours of usage you could generate enough power for another 30 minutes or so. There could also just be an extra key you can press when you have nothing to type but desperately need the power. Would you be interested in such a product? do you think this is possible? i have already field for a patent, but it remains to be seen if it can be done in an affordable manner. If anybody would like to join in on this and has knowledge of the components necessary let me know. Thanks.
i couldn't agree more with poster #1. i will be seriously smacking myself in the head when this is made by hp or something in the near future and i missed out on the opportunity to revolutionize the computer industry.

Question #6:
If we have the technology available, such as alternate fuel sources, electric cars, and hybrids, then why are we still using gasoline? Why haven't most companies switched to these modes of transportation yet? Link the source if you have one :) Thanks
Does alternative sources or electric/hybrid cars affect the acceleration/speed of the car?
Question #7:
I know that the kinetic energy is recharged back into the battery and the battery recharges itself but is there another storage unit other then the batteries?
Question #8:
I have to answer this question for a project I am doing on hybrid cars but I don't even fully understand the question. Does anyone have an answer for me. Weather you know what it is asking or if you can answer it... anything helps :D.
Thanks in advance.

Question #10:
Question #11:
My school district is hemorrhaging money, and firing teachers left and right (I am a teacher). Suddenly, my old room partner is GONE, and this new young teacher is next door. Guess what? He has never TOUCHED a gun in his life! He is REALLY young! He never had a Dad, only a Mom who was scared of guns, and he played all these gun video games growing up. He REALLY wants to shoot a gun. He wants someone who can teach him how.
When he found out I had guns, he got all excited. I figure I will take him up to the High Desert, in the Mojave or the Saline Valley, and take him shooting. The Safety Goons at the Range make shooting unpleasant, and it's not fun learning to shoot with some idiot two feet away banging off his .44 magnum. Also, if you go into the wild you can shoot at STUFF, not just targets! I remember the first time I saw my Dad fire a .30-06 at the engine block of an abandoned car in the desert. I couldn't believe it went right through like butter.
I have access to the following guns:
1) .243 Sears Model 53 (Winchester Model 70) bolt action with 4x scope. (Inherited)
2) .30-30 Sears Ted Williams (Winchester Model 94) lever action with 3x scope. (Inherited)
3) Star Model B Semi Automatic Pistol in .38 Super.
4) Makarov 9mm Pistol
5) Beretta .25 Auto (Inherited)
6) Smith & Wesson Model 10 Heavy Barrel .38 Special with 4 inch barrel.(Inherited)
7) Colt Woodsman .22 Caliber Automatic Pistol with 6" barrel. (Inherited)
8) High Standard Pump Action .22 Rifle with 24" Barrel.(Inherited)
9) Savage Fox BSE 20 guage double barrel shotgun. (Inherited)
Should I take them ALL and let him shoot them ALL? I sort of dread getting all 9 into the trunk of my Honda Hybrid. My car has no room, and we are going to take lawn chairs, and an ice chest.
Also what can I shoot that is impressive, and blows up nicely? And that can be cleaned up (I don't litter.) I am trying to think of what looks good when you shoot at it? I have access to 20 pound blocks of clay. What else? Wet bound newspaper? Frozen bottles with water inside? I want it to look spectacular when we shoot it, but I don't want to shoot something like glass or old Christmas Tree Bulbs that will be impossible to clean up. Any suggestions? I have hearing protection for him, but he doesn't wear glasses. Do you think I should spin by Big 5, and buy him a cheap pair of Safety Shooting glasses?
Mountain Man
Celestial Seasonings Tea: Tension Tamer with St. John's Wort. Just a suggestion.

I shoot from the sitting position. I have never seen a bench when I go hunting. And 99% of the people who tell me what a great shot they care can't hit a thing from that position.
Question #12:
Just saw this on modern marvels. They are gloating about this hybrid car getting 25/28 mpg and saying its GOOD. Since when is a car only getting 25 mpg good? What does this car get with out the hybrid option 15? I have a v4 s10 that can get 28 on the highway with wind (avg 22-24).
Why do we waist time making hybrids like this? they seem like a joke.
Question #13:
I want to put a windmill to produce electricity on the roof of my house, put solar panels on the blades and use the windmill to pump water from my well. Then I'd use the water to run my hydroelectric plant.
Is that green enough or should I use the water to irrigate my corn field so I can make ethanol for my hybrid car?

Question #14:
The gas cap on my 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser states that I should only use premium fuel but in this time of rising gas prices, I wonder prefer to save the 20-30 cents per gallon and use the regular fuel. Will this cause any issues with performance, lesson the miles I get per gallon, or worsen the effect my emissions have on the environment? Answering that I should have bought a hybrid car doesn't count!
Question #15:
