Question: What is a non hybrid car?

( Back )

Answer #1:

pretty much every car you see is non hyrid

type into search box
hybrid car

Answer #2:

A hybrid car has both an internal combustion engine (either gas/petrol or diesel) and an electric motor.

A non hybrid would be one that only has an internal combustion engine or only has an electric motor.

Answer #3:

Non hybrid means that it uses only one source of energy to move the car; such as gas only, diesel only, or electricity only.
Hybrid vehicles use two or more; such as a gas engine and electric motors, etc.

Answer #4:

I hope your teacher gives you a good grade.
Hybrid means it has a combination of 2 different systems.
One system could be a gasoline engine, and another could be an electric motor run on batteries.
If you have both in the same car, it is a hybrid.
If you only have one or the other, is isn't.

Hybrids are good because they can combine the strengths of each system. Such as gasoline engines have further range and don't need to wait for long recharging, while electric systems cost less to operate, and can take advantage of regenerative braking.

Hybrids are bad because they have to carry the weight, cost, and complexity of both system.

Answer #5:

most hybrid cars are the same as the non hybrid. a hybrid uses a combination of gas and electric motors. the non hybrid uses just gas engines. in my opinion you need to weight out how much money per mile you will save with the hybrid compared to the non hybrid and see how long it will take to get back the extra money you will spend for the hybrid version.
