Question: trying to find out if my arlec battery charger can charge an NS50P Power Crank Battery.?

Answer #1:
Yes, your battery charger will charge this battery.
The type of battery doesn't matter, the battery charger works basically the same as your alternator, generating a voltage greater than the voltage of the battery you're trying to charge. As long as it can "pump electrons", it'll charge your battery. And all car batteries work on the same principles too, they all use two dissimilar metals immersed in an acid solution. That's a basic description of them anyway.
Answer #2:
Calcium Hybrid construction has the positive grid strengthened with antimony and the negative grid with calcium and water usage is greatly reduced. This allowed for the manufacture of the, 'maintenance free' battery. These Calcium Hybrid batteries are more resistant to charging and encountered problems in the 70's and 80's when they were 1st released, because the charge rate on most cars was set between 13.8 Volts and 14.1 Volts. This is too low and a flat battery would result. A Calcium Hybrid battery requires a minimum of 14.3 Volts, preferably closer to 14.8 Volts to adequately recharge.
To answer your question then; it depends on the output voltage of your charger. If its below 14.3 Volts it will struggle to fully charge your battery and also if the alternator voltage regulator in your car is set below 14.3 volts you will frequently have a flat or semi flat battery.
